Summer Mountain Festivals to Attend

Resorts may host Destinations and snowboarders during the winter, but various summer festivals come to mountainous areas to fill their locations with new lives when the snow melts. Here are a couple of our favorite annual fun fests to whet your appetite:

Wanderlust Squaw Valley

Go to huge, outdoor yoga classes, listen to live music and renew your spirit at Wanderlust. Wanderlust is a traveling festival, and each July, the festival returns to its roots in North Lake Tahoe, California. Attendees can shop handcrafted goods, clothes and Jewelry at the Kula Market. Explorers will be thrilled with guided mindfulness and meditations in the mountains. There will be a DJ and a silent disco you can take part in as well. Those looking for rest can relax at the beauty bar. Don’t miss this highlight of the summer gathering at Squaw Valley in July!

Snowmass Rendevouz Beer Festival

The Snowmass Rendevouz Beer Festival is a great choice for beer lovers and party-goers alike. The festival was first held in 2016. In 2017, 20 breweries poured suds at the celebration, and 30 are expected to be present at the June 8th-9th 2018 event. These various beers can be enjoyed as attendees listen to live music. Considering the festival only lasts a day, attendees can also hike or bike the terrain on and around Aspen and Snowmass while visiting.

Steamboat Hot Air Balloon Rodeo

The Hot Air Balloon Rodeo in Steamboat Springs, Colorado impresses skywatchers. Festival-goers can watch pilots inflate their balloons early in the morning as they prepare to explore the Yampa Valley sky. Afterward, visitors can enjoy the Art in the Park exhibition, where over hundred vendors come to show off their crafts. Skywatchers can look up, and watch balloons come down from the crowd at the end of the day. Come gaze at this magical event that takes place every July.
