Pennsylvania Summer Vacation Deals

The Pocono Mountains, located in northeastern Pennsylvania, are a favorite amongst outdoor enthusiasts. The town of Jim Thorpe is rated as one of the top 3 mountain biking destinations in the United States by Cycling magazine. There are many other ways to experience the scenic beauty of the Pocono Mountains, from horseback riding, to trolley and train rides, to rising above it all with an air tour. Historic sites, museums, galleries, and interesting architecture are offered by the quaint downtowns. Music and theatre lovers can delight in blues, jazz, and bluegrass, classical music, and film festivals.

An ideal place for a golf getaway is the Pocono Mountains. The more than 30 golf courses in the area range from challenging championship courses designed by such notables as Robert Trent Jones, Geoffrey Cornish, A.W. Tillinghast and Jack Nicklaus, to more friendly nine hole links. Unique challenges to golfers of all levels are offered by these scenic fairways.

The crystal clear rivers and lakes of the state, especially Lake Wallenpaupack, the third largest lake in the state, offer awesome boating, water skiing, jet skiing, sailing, and scenic dinner cruises.
