Summer is the perfect time to visit Lincoln, since the temperatures are relatively cool and the natural beauty is unmatched. If speed is more your thing but you still want to enjoy nature, we highly recommend taking advantage of the ATV tours in this area. There are numerous developed trails that are well cared for and you can really get a taste of the great outdoors.


Some of the best courses in the nation are located back east and Lincoln is near several championship level courses that offer exciting and fun play. Most courses offer club rentals so you won’t have to worry about dragging your own set with you. The perfect climate and wind conditions here make golf more fun that it probably should be.

Historical Tours

There are numerous historical sites within the town that are well worth the visit. You can see artifacts from the early settlers, preserved in a renovated 19th century farmhouse. The Historical Society offers numerous tours that are fun for the entire family and well worth the time spent. We also recommend stopping by nearby Bristol, which is about 10 minutes away, if you enjoy historical buildings. They have 19th century storefronts that are incredibly well maintained and really offer a glimpse of what life was like in this region hundreds of years ago.


As mentioned previously, there are numerous lakes in this region and boating is a very popular sport. You’ll find plenty of places to rent a kayak, or even a motor boat so you can get out on the lakes for a peaceful afternoon.
