If you enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature but you still need the amenities of today, this is truly the perfect spot. There are numerous activities for the whole family to enjoy all year round, but summer is one of the best times to visit.

Camping

The camping in Concord is without compare. One of the most popular spots is Shadow Lake where you can enjoy numerous other summer activities. This is really a great spot for the whole family and the campsites are very well maintained.

Fishing

The region is rich with many different bodies of water where you can fish. The lakes are full of “big ones” and it’s almost impossible to let one get away. There are several different varieties of fish that call these lakes home so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to test your skills.

Boating

If you are planning on camping or fishing, we highly recommend taking a boat out on one of the many lakes in the area, at least for an afternoon. This is really a boater’s paradise and there are few activities that are this peaceful and fun.

Hiking is incredibly popular in this area and the trails are all well maintained. You won’t have to deal with the bears like the early settlers did, but you’ll still find plenty of untouched nature waiting to be discovered.

There are several ATV tours in the area that offer a little faster version of a nature walk. You can see a lot more in less time with these tours and they are recommended if you are only here for a few days. You’ll be able to see a lot more in less time.

Golfing

Some of the finest golf courses in this state can be found right near Concord. They offer challenging pla,y but novices won’t be too intimidated. Even if you don’t particularly like golf, it’s still worth it for the incredible views.

Festivals

There are numerous festivals and events that are held in Concord every summer. These are really fun for the whole family. The focus is on music, as well as area and local events. These really bring home the small town charm and are a lot of fun to attend. You’ll feel just like a local.

Historical Tours

Thankfully, many of Concord’s artifacts from the earliest settlers have been preserved. This is a great way to work in a history lesson for the kids while still having a lot of fun.
