Dartmouth - Lakes Region
Concord and Dartmouth lakes region and the Merrimack Valley area of New Hampshire may be one of the best kept vacation secrets in all of New England. Lake Winnapsuakee, the largest lake in the state and sixth largest natural lake in the U.S., has nearly 300 miles of shoreline on a lake of only 72 square miles. Within that lake are nearly 300 islands as well. Rattlesnake Island rises to just over 390 feet above the lake's waters. All in all, this makes for rather unique recreational opportunities. One can camp, fish, canoe or kayak... go island hopping... make an adventure of the experience in this lush green wonderland!
