We also recommend taking a ride to the top of Mt. Washington on the world's first mountain-climbing railway, Mount Washington Cog Railway. In Attitash, the Aquaboggan Waterslide just one of four water slides to ride.

Things to Do

This state just happens to be home to the largest skateboard park in New England located at Woodbury ski area. The state's Maple Syrup festivities are right up there for family fun. Outdoor adventures abound, including canoeing, kayaking, and sailing amidst the richness of the mountain lakes and rivers. Nature watching is vivid as well, with bears, eagles, moose—or perhaps you'd like to try your hand at some outrageously good fishing? Get advice from local bait and tackle shop and you are on your way. Bird watching is very popular as is hiking to see one of the 100 scenic waterfalls in the state. It's all there, just waiting for you to pick your pleasure.

New Hampshire seems to expect you to be rather fond of horseback riding. There are inns with stables, resorts with stables, even ride & stay packages! Trail rides, dinner rides, and hay rides on a buckboard wagon are all part and parcel of the good time vacation experience to be had.
