The Arts

Enjoy professional community-based theatre with the Whitefish Theatre Company in the performing and visual arts. World-class musical theatre is produced by the Alpine Theatre Project providing the opportunity to see actors, directors, and productions that would normally only be seen in major metropolitan areas. "Art Spots," including galleries, retail shops, and exhibits are common around Whitefish.

Whitewater Rafting

Close by is Montana's wildest river, the Middle Fork of the Flathead River, which is a gem for whitewater rafting, canoeing, and kayaking. And rated one of the "50 Greatest Golf Destinations in the World" by Golf Digest, the Flathead Valley has nine championship golf courses.

Glacier National Park

On the northeast corner of the Flathead Valley, only 24 miles from Whitefish, is Glacier National Park. The Park, filled with wildlife and blessed with beautiful scenery, is usually uncrowded. The rugged terrain of Glacier National Park was created long ago by slow moving glaciers. The world's most scenic highway, The Going to the Sun Road, meanders through the giant vistas of Glacier.
