Vermont Days: Vermont loves to celebrate the arrival of summer. They do so with Vermont Days in June, right at the start of summer. If you live in Vermont or are traveling there during that weekend, don’t miss this opportunity to visit any state park for free all weekend. June 11 is free fishing day so no license is required to fish for residents and non-residents alike. For history fans, Vermont Days also offers free admission to historical sites this weekend as well as free admission to the Vermont History Museum on the 11th.

Mountain Resort Adventure Parks: Many of your favorite Vermont ski resorts are providing more fun summer adventures than ever before. A number of brand new adventure parks are opening this summer. Killington offers over a dozen new attractions this year at their new and improved Snowshed Adventure Center. Check out their alpine coaster, ropes course, terra maze, expanded mountain bike trails and more. Stowe has a zip line course, the TreeTop Adventure, and an indoor climbing wall. Visitors to Bromley can enjoy an alpine slide, zip lining, the Aerial Adventure Park, and a giant swing.

• Golfing: Vermont mountains make an incredible backdrop for a game of golf. If you want to slow down the pace of your summer adventures, play a round of golf at one of the picturesque golf courses Vermont has to offer.
