Start Planning a Fall Vacation Getaway

Published by under Destinations

Recently, we discussed reason why traveling in the fall saves you a lot of money for your mountain vacation experience. So now, let’s consider some incredible fall festivals you can plan your trip around.

Mountain lovers tend to love autumn. We are often quoted as loving winter activities like skiing and snowboarding, and that’s clear, but we also tend to blossom during the fall. Maybe it’s the cool air, the smell of fire pits burning at night, and let’s be honest, we love beer tasting all the new fall brews during Oktoberfest and at the Great American Beer Festival. The fall of 2013 is approaching fast and here are some awesome fall festivals we will be jealous of those attending.

Don’t Miss out on the Summer Gondola Rides!

Published by under Activities

Before Labor Day, we highly recommend you take a few hours out of your summer mountain vacation to ride one of the gondolas or lifts to take in the view atop your favorite ski mountains. Most resort areas throughout the U.S. and Canada continue to run their ski lifts at a discount rate for summer travelers. And if you are frequenter during the winter months, you’re season pass from the previous year or the upcoming ski season will often get you a free ride during the summer. Otherwise, you’ll find the lift tickets are reasonably priced and a lot cheaper for kids. In addition, if you plan to stay in the area for multiple days, some mountains allow you to buy multi-day lift ticket passes giving you full access to the mountain.

Hotel Bristol – Steamboat Springs

Published by under Lodging

You and your family should consider visiting northern Colorado where the summer days are sunny and nights are perfectly cool. Steamboat Springs is by far one of our favorite places to visit due to his intense beauty, old-west feel, and proximity to natural hot springs, mountain biking, golfing, wild flowering picking, and tons more summer activities.
