The Bridger Mountains offer a tremendous variety of world-class recreational opportunities that include whitewater rafting, kayaking, hiking, camping, blue ribbon fly fishing, rock climbing, biking, wildlife viewing, and more. In October, one can view magnificent birds of prey on their southern migration.

With its snow covered mountain peaks and internationally known “blue ribbon” trout streams, the Gallatin National Forest is a popular recreation area in Montana’s Northern Rockies. Established in 1899, the Gallatin surrounds Bozeman and is part of the Greater Yellowstone Area. As an added bonus to this spectacular vacation area, Yellowstone National Park is just an hour away. The park is a summer mecca for hiking, van tours, wildlife, and sightseeing. Yellowstone possesses close to 60 percent of the world’s geysers. Be sure to visit Old Faithful, one of only five major geysers predicted regularly by the naturalist staff of America’s first National Park.
