The Kids’ Adventure Club, operated by the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation, gives kids a chance to share friendship and adventure, through fun hands-on exploration of Steamboat and its special western surroundings.
KAC offers activities for children 3-12 years of age through various programs including Mini-Campers, Yampa Campers and Routt Scouts. Mini-Campers, designed for 3 and 4 year olds, provides activities that include short hikes, art and crafts, outdoor games, and water sports. Yampa Campers, encompassing children from kindergarten through second grade, enjoy Strings in the Mountains concerts, Kayaking, arts and crafts, Bungee Jump Trampoline and outdoor games. Routt Scouts, the oldest age group (8 to 12), spend their day at places like Steamboat Lake, the Craig Wave Pool and Hahn’s Peak Lake while participating in mountain biking, arts and crafts, outdoor games and riding the Alpine Slide.
All campers must bring a swimsuit, towel, water shoes, lunch and a jacket or sweatshirt with them each day. Each camper must also wear an official camp T-shirt each day while in the program. T-shirts are $10 and are available at check-in or when you register for camp. In order to secure your child’s t-shirt, please provide the number of shirts that you want to purchase. This information is located on the camp registration form. The KAC summer staff is certified in First Aid/CPR and life guarding. Space is limited and reservations are required.
The Mini Camp fills up quickly due to the limited number of children we can take into our facility. I would like to encourage parents to try to sign up early so that you can reserve you child’s place in our Mini Camp. Once your days are chosen for Mini Camp, we will expect you to use those days. There are no refunds for unused days.
Location/Hours
The Steamboat Kids’ Adventure Club is located in the Kids’ Vacation Center, first floor of Lower Gondola building at the base of the ski mountain in Gondola Square.
Operating hours are Monday-Friday, June 9-August 22, 2008, from 9:00am-4:00pm. We will gladly accept children as early as 7:30am and care for them until 5:30pm. Please have your child at camp by 9:00 am. This will ensure that your child starts the morning activities with his/her group. Included in the program are various field trips and outdoor activities. Lunch is available for an additional $7.50 or you can provide a bag lunch.
Early Booking
Sign up by May 19th and receive 10% off a 20 day Camp. Each additional sibling in a 20-day camp will receive another 5% discount. 5% discount applies to lesser value booking. Download Registration Form (165KB PDF) .

Payment Terms
All payments on 10+ and 20+ day Camps are due the 1st day of the Month. Any changes to dates booked must be done by June 2nd. Early booking discounts only apply to those bookings made prior to May 19; subsequent bookings are not eligible for early discounts.
Cancellations
Once you have submitted your preferred days, we will expect your child to attend as scheduled. You have the opportunity to make changes to your schedule (space permitting) prior to Monday, June 2nd. After that date, you are financially responsible for the number of days you are scheduled. Days may be switched only if there is space available. If you need to cancel a day, you must give 48 hours notice and have a make-up day in mind at that time, otherwise you will be charged in full for that day. No credit will be given for unused days.
