Telluride

If you’re looking for an authentic 19th century western mountain mining town vacation experience, updated for the demanding tastes of the 21st century outdoor enthusiast, put Telluride on your “must do list.” Although it was once a well-kept secret, Telluride is now playing in the major resort league. Yet, the twelve-block-long town, with stunning Victorian homes, opera house, and lively saloons, still maintains a special old west small town character.

Nestled in the Canyon

Nestled in a canyon at the base of the Telluride Ski Mountain (8,750′), surrounded by 13,000-foot peaks, lies a National Historic Landmark District with Victorian-era architecture. You’ll have a  choice of a quaint bed & breakfast inn, an elegant full-service hotel, amd a fully-equipped opulent slope-side condominium or private home. The town is less than one-mile long and the Main Street shops and restaurants are a short walking distance from most lodging and accommodations. The free year-round gondola runs 17 hours a day, seven days a week, and takes visitors from town up to the Mountain Village, where there is more options for shopping, dinning, activities, spa treatments, and lodging.

This European-style Mountain Village overlooks some of the most magnificent peaks in the San Juan Mountains. This is a world-class summer resort boasting an 18-hole championship golf course and 3,000 acres of National Forest for hiking and biking. At the Mountain Village, guests enjoy a traditional ski resort village with tantalizing restaurants and shops galore.
